Blindness is not contractible through body contact. However, the society perceive blindness as a cause for one’s bad deed. Below are several myths and facts about blindness.

Blindness or visual impairment is an eye condition and does not transport one to another world. When one is blind, one still exist in same world, country, planet as every other human in that habitat.

technology makes work easy, faster for blind people. With the use of mobile phones, computers and other device, it makes the world more accessible. Many people who are blind mostly cannot do without their device as it enhances their ability to associate with other people.

blind people are found in certain professions

in the past, it could be difficult to find a blind person in certain profession however, it depends on one’s dexterity. Today, you find blind people in different professions, e.g. lawyers, scientists, linguists.

What about being in politics or dancers?

Such as TV, photography, colors, etc. but with the advent of inventions and accessible technologies there are apps designed to bridge the gap of visuals to a blind person either through hearing or touch. Such as electronic magnifier, braille displays, screen readers, apps that describes the suRroundings, or even with the assistance of a sighted person or audio described movies.

people who are blind can do if not everything: almost everything. They can have be career professionals, play sport, have a family, travel, become great chefs and more. They just do this differently. Just as every shoe does not fit all.
